Out of the dozens of hormones that your body makes, the synthesis of thyroid hormone is the only one that requires iodine. Your body doesn’t make iodine, so it is important that you are getting it through your diet. ⁣⁣

When it comes to iodine supplementation it is important to remember that you can overdo it! Excess iodine, especially among individuals with pre-existing thyroid disease can cause iodine-induced hypothyroidism or even hyperthyroidism. NO BUENO! ⁣⁣

➡️DITCH THE PLASTICS: switch to glass or ceramic dishware. This will greatly reduce your exposure to endocrine disruptors such as phthalates and BPA. Even more important: do not microwave your food in plastic containers 🙅‍♀️.⁣

➡️AIR IT OUT: when picking up your freshly laundered clothing, give your pieces some time to air out in a well-ventilated space. Thereby reducing your exposure to many of the heavy-duty solvents used in dry cleaning, such as perchloroethylene.⁣

➡️MAKE THE SWITCH: if you a menstruating female, it is time to make the switch to 100%organic cotton feminine care products. Many tampons and pads contain several toxic ingredients such as: aluminum, fragrances and the known human carcinogen called dioxin. ⁣

➡️CASTOR OIL PACKS: castor oil (when applied topically), can improve your levels of the powerful detox molecule, glutathione. Glutathione gets rid excess estrogens, toxins, and byproducts of plastics.⁣

➡️Orange (bell peppers, carrots) ⁣
➡️Yellow (squash, lemons)⁣
➡️Green (spinach, avocado),⁣

➡️Purple (grapes, cabbage)⁣
